I came across the CSA software problem the way most product ideas emerge — through frustration. Talking to farm owners, I kept hearing the same complaint: they were running their CSA through a platform that treated their members as the platform's customers, not theirs.

The data lived in someone else's system. The emails went through someone else's CRM. And if the vendor raised prices or shut down, the farm had almost no leverage. Meanwhile, these same farms already had a Shopify store — a store with real customers, real order history, and real integrations with tools like Klaviyo.

Copia started as a simple question: what if CSA management was just a layer inside Shopify? What if every member who signed up became a real Shopify customer in your store? That question became this product. I'm building it in the open, working directly with farms, and looking for 50 founding farms to grow with.
